About the Role:
As a Product Development Technician, you will lead the day-to-day activities in our lab, providing essential test data, reports, and analysis for all of our products.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct product testing of finished goods and maintain the product database.
  • Prepare product analysis and performance reports.
  • Conduct offline QA checks as required by the Papermaking and Converting Teams.
  • Support product development through testing and maintaining NPD processes, testing regimes, and reporting systems.
  • Manage and prioritize laboratory workload, including servicing and calibration of all instrumentation.
  • Determine the status of finished products placed on hold for quality issues through sampling and testing.
  • Verify finished product CRM issues.
  • Follow and implement good Health, Safety, Environment & Risk (RESH) practices within the workgroup.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in laboratory work within a QC or R&D lab.
  • Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable in quality systems and statistical analysis.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Skilled in problem-solving using rigorous logic in a timely manner.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and working under pressure with attention to detail.
  • An effective communicator at all levels, dealing with a diverse workforce and culture.

Nice to Have:

  • A tertiary degree in Science, Process Engineering, or Quality.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment, of SPC, and/or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with the Pulp and Paper Industry and paper testing.
